Scholarship Opportunity: International Mobility and VSLO Program for sixth-Year Medical Students

The Faculty of Medicine at the University of Rome “Tor Vergata” is pleased to announce a selection process for awarding scholarships to support participation in the AAMC Visiting Student Learning Opportunities (VSLO) program or other certified international mobility programs. This opportunity is exclusively available to 6th-year students enrolled in the Medicine and Surgery course for the academic year 2024/2025.

Key Details of the Scholarship

  • Number of Awards: 4 scholarships.
  • Amount: €3,000 per scholarship.
  • Purpose: To cover expenses related to:
    1. Participation in the VSLO program, where the university is a recognized home institution.
    2. Engagement in international mobility projects at certified foreign universities or research institutions (with an official acceptance letter).

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  1. Be enrolled in the 6th year of the Medicine and Surgery course as of December 31, 2024, and plan to graduate by October 31, 2025.
  2. Have a minimum academic average of 26/30.
  3. Provide proof of participation in the VSLO program or an acceptance letter for an international mobility project.

Selection Process

Candidates will be evaluated based on:

  • Academic performance (average grades and completed credits).
  • Recognized international research or internship experiences (excluding Erasmus).
  • A personal interview discussing the proposed project.

The final ranking will be published on the program’s website, with provisional results subject to review before finalization.

  • Submit your application via email in PDF format to romiti@med.uniroma2.it by 6:00 PM on January 31, 2025.
  • Include all required personal and academic details, a self-declaration of eligibility, and a valid IBAN for scholarship payment.

Additional Information

  • The interview schedule will be announced on the course website within five working days after the application deadline.
  • Winners must confirm acceptance of the scholarship within five working days of the final ranking publication.
