Amounts for the payment of registration fees for students enrolling in A.Y. 2017/2018
Tuition Fee Regulation
Tuition fees at the University of Rome Tor Vergata for the AY 2017/2018 will be based on the number of credits (CFU) acquired by the student during his/her dstudy course and student’s family income; no extra-fee will be charged for courses taught in English.
NB: Students are required to pay the first instalment of their tuition fee no later than Monday, 6th November 2017.
Tuition Fee Amounts
Yearly tuition fee amounts vary depending on the ISEEU index, calculated by the CAF Office, and the number of CFU acquired.
There are three different taxation brackets based on enrollment year and number of credits as follows:
- The Ordinary taxation will be applied to all the students that:
- are enrolled to the first year at any degree programme for the ay 2017/2018;
- enrolled to the first year in the ay 2016/2017, having earned at least 10 CFU (ECTS) between 10/08/2016 and 10/08/2017;
- enrolled out of time with the normal duration of the course for no more than one year, having earned at least 25 CFU (ECTS) between 10/08/2016 and 10/08/2017.
- The Higher taxation will be applied to all the students enrolled out of time with the normal duration of the course for no more than one year, having earned at least 6 CFU (ECTS) between 10/08/2016 and 10/08/2017.
- The Maximum taxation will be applied to all the students
- enrolled for two or more year out of time with the normal duration of the course
- not having earned at least 6 CFU (ECTS) between 10/08/2016 and 10/08/2017
Once the student knows the taxation bracket at which he/she belongs, the exact amount of fees is calculated basing on ISEEU. All students that want to have a reduction of their fees based on the family income must present ISEEU certification. Not submitting the ISEEU to the University will imply for the student the payment based on the maximum rate of the yearly fee of the course (80% of the maximum rate for the students coming from low-income economies or lower-middle-income economies ; 100% of the maximum rate for all the other international students).
International students’ family income can only be certified by the Italian Diplomatic Authorities (local Consulate or local Embassy), which students should consult in order to know what documents are needed for such certification. Once the proper documentation is submitted to the Italian Diplomatic Authority, it will provide the student with the certified documents that need to be brought to any CAF Office (Italian Tax Service Centres) after arriving in Rome.
The CAF office will deliver to the student the ISEEU module necessary to then determine the student’s yearly tuition fee amount.
The student must get the ISEEU module at the CAF Office no later than 15th December 2017; after this date, a non-refundable late submission fee will have to be paid by the student, according to the following table:
|From 16th Dec 2017 to 15th March 2018||150 euro|
|From 16th March 2018 to 2nd July 2018||200 euro|
Students with an ISEEU lower than 13.000 euro are in the tuition “no-tax area” and will only be charged with a tuition of 156,00 euro per year (ordinary taxation), 356,00 euro per year (higher taxation) and 488,00 euro per year for maximun taxation. These fees must be payed in the first installment by the 6th of novembre 2017. Students applying for the Laziodisu scholarship benefits will only be charged with 16,00 euro. In the case in which the student applying for the Laziodisu scholarship were not to be granted it, he/she will have to pay the fees based on his/her ISEEU, as for all the other students..
Students with an ISEEU ranging between 13.001 and 30.000 euro will be charged with fees starting from 156 euro (ordinary taxation with an ISEEU of 13.001 euro) to 1974 euro (maximun taxation with an ISEEU of 30.000 euro).
For students with an ISEEU higher than 30.000 euro, will be charged with fees starting from 1317 euro (ordinary taxation with an ISEEU of 30.001 euro) to 6111 euro (maximun taxation with an ISEEU of 90.000 euro); for ISEEUs greater than 90.000 euro, tuition fees remain constant at the maximum tuition level.
Here you will find a simulator to calculate the amount of your fees.
1st installment: (related to taxation brackets and unrelated to family’ income) 6th of November 2017
2nd installment: (related only to family’ income) 50% by the 30th of March 2017 and 50% by the 1st of June 2018. You can also pay all the fees by the 30th of March 2018.
After this dates, a non-refundable late submission fee will have to be paid by the student, according to the following table:
|by 1 month after deadline||50 euro|
|after 1 month after deadline||100 euro|
Please note that not passing and registering exams (10 credits at least) within 10th August 2018 will affect the student’s tuition fee for the enrollment to the second year, significantly increasing the yearly amount.
